Terms of Service

Effective date: June 27, 2026

These Terms are an agreement between you and Twynit. They're written to be read, not just signed. By creating an account, joining a workspace, or using the Service, you agree to them. If you're agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you're authorized to do so.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 and able to form a binding contract to use Twynit. The Service is built for professional use by recruiters, founders, hiring teams, and agencies. If you use Twynit on behalf of an organization, "you" means that organization, and you are responsible for everyone in your workspace.

2. Beta participation

Twynit is currently offered in a private beta to a small number of design partners. The Service is functional and used for real hiring, but it is still evolving — features may change, and occasional issues are part of building something early with us.

As a beta participant you may receive early features, direct access to the founders, and preferred commercial terms. In return, we may ask for your feedback. Any feedback you share may be used to improve the Service without obligation or compensation, and without transferring ownership of your data to us. We may modify or end the beta program, or particular features, with reasonable notice.

3. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
  • Use the Service only for lawful hiring purposes, and comply with all laws that apply to you — including employment, anti-discrimination, data protection, and candidate-notice laws.
  • Have a lawful basis to upload and process the candidate data you put into Twynit, and to provide any notices candidates are owed.
  • Be responsible for the actions of every member of your workspace.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Twynit to make automated, final hiring decisions without human review, or in any way that violates anti-discrimination or employment law.
  • Upload unlawful content, malware, or data you have no right to share.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or attempt to bypass the security or access controls of the Service.
  • Resell, sublicense, or use the Service to build a competing product.
  • Use the Service to harass candidates or infringe anyone's rights.

5. Intellectual property

We own the Service. Twynit and all related software, models, and content are owned by us and our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while these Terms are in effect.

You own your data. The roles, criteria, candidate data, decisions, and memory in your workspace are yours. You grant us only the rights we need to operate and improve the Service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not use your data to train models that serve other customers.

6. AI-generated recommendations

Twynit uses AI to prepare hiring work — reading resumes, ranking candidates, drafting questions, and explaining its reasoning. These outputs are recommendations and decision support, not facts or determinations. They can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong.

You are responsible for reviewing AI output before relying on it, and for the accuracy and fairness of your hiring process. Twynit does not guarantee any particular hiring outcome and is not an employment agency or a provider of legal advice.

7. Human decision responsibility

Twynit is built on one principle: AI proposes; a human decides. The Service prepares and recommends. Every consequential hiring decision — who to advance, who to reject, who to hire — is made by you, the human, and remains your responsibility.

You agree not to use Twynit to make adverse decisions about candidates solely on the basis of an automated output, and to keep a qualified person accountable for every decision. The Service is a partner to your judgment, never a replacement for it.

8. Availability

We work to keep the Service reliable, but during beta we do not commit to a specific uptime guarantee. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, with reasonable notice where we can give it.

9. Suspension & termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or use the Service in a way that harms candidates, other users, or Twynit. Where reasonable, we'll give notice and a chance to fix the issue. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; we will handle your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Twynit is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or hiring outcomes. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Confidentiality

During the beta you may receive non-public information about Twynit — unreleased features, roadmap, and pricing. You agree to keep it confidential and use it only to evaluate and use the Service. We treat your non-public information with the same care, and we protect your workspace data as described in the Privacy Policy. These obligations continue after these Terms end.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Twynit is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, unless mandatory local law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere. The specific governing jurisdiction will be confirmed in your order form or partner agreement.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If a change is material, we'll notify you through the Service or by email and update the effective date above. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
